Experience You Can Trust

Focus Forward Therapy & Coaching, LLC was founded by Bonnie Miller Ladds, LISW, LCSW, Certified Divorce Coach, whose clinical experience spans more than 35 years.

Bonnie combines a deep understanding of complex emotional concerns with a direct, personal, and practical approach. She specializes in treating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, and sex addiction, and works with individuals navigating major life transitions. Through divorce coaching, she helps clients clarify priorities, prepare for difficult conversations, and make thoughtful decisions during separation and divorce.

Her work goes beyond understanding what’s wrong. She helps clients recognize how past experiences and relationship patterns affect their lives today—and turn that insight into meaningful change.

Her extensive trauma experience also informs her forensic practice, providing comprehensive mental health evaluations that assess and document psychological injuries and their impact on daily functioning, with treatment available when clinically indicated.

Therapy for First Responders and Their Families

Experienced, confidential support for those who serve and protect others

Police officers, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, correctional officers, and other public safety professionals face repeated exposure to danger, loss, and human suffering. The impact can extend beyond the job, affecting sleep, mood, concentration, and relationships, and making it difficult to feel at ease off duty.

Focus Forward provides a confidential, respectful, and safe space to speak openly about the toll your work has taken. Whether you’re facing the aftermath of a critical incident or years of accumulated stress, trauma-focused therapy can help you sleep better, feel more connected to the people you care about, and regain a sense of control on and off duty

Testimonials

  • “I don't want to jinx myself - but I am doing pretty well here (new job is going great, have had the chance to see a lot more old friends recently, and am taking time to just relax and not stress as much) as such. It was honestly a pleasure to get to know you and I cannot thank you enough for your guidance and support through what felt like a never ending dark dream. I don't think I could have rebounded and thrived so quickly had it not been for these sessions so I want to thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Your current and future clients are lucky to have you."
